Cycling adventure on scenic road

    About Bicyclewanders

The Journey That Changes How You See The World. And Yourself.

    Our Philosophy

    How This Started

Both founders have personal histories of long-distance bike journeys undertaken during significant life periods. Max completed London to Singapore — 10,000 miles, 40 countries. These were not sporting achievements. They were encounters with the world at the pace of a bicycle — slow enough to feel it, uncertain enough to require full presence. That experience changes something in a person. It always has.

A Thai coffee farmer tending trees that take five years to fruit. A Japanese shrine keeper maintaining the same path for 1,200 years. A Spanish cave community living inside the earth for centuries. Something about witnessing these lives — the patience, the relationship with time, the knowledge passed between generations — travelled home and sat quietly in the corner of how he thought about his own work, his own pace, his own life.

Dima's experience running professional leadership programmes added a second dimension: watching what happens to high-achieving people when they are taken deliberately outside their familiar world and actually encounter something different. The shift in thinking is real. The perspectives that travel home are real. The change is lasting.

We built Bicycle Wanders because we wanted to create the experience of the outside world entering your life through slower journeys — for people moving through places that have nothing to do with their daily lives, and everything to do with who they actually are.

    What We Stand For

We create every journey to be meaningful.

Every journey is built around cultural immersion. Not as a day-trip add-on, but as the architecture of the entire week. The shrine visit isn't a highlight. It's the lens through which the whole day is understood.

    Cycling is how we move.

Why bikes? At this pace, through this landscape, the outside world can actually reach you. You're not behind glass. You're not distracted. You're moving slowly enough that things can land.

    Sustainability, Passion and Care.

The coffee farmer you visit tends trees that take five years to fruit. The winery you sit inside has been in one family for generations. They're not a backdrop. They're the reason for the journey.

    Our Culture

    What Makes This Different

Every journey is built for up to eight guests — couples, friends, people who come alone and leave as companions. The experience is about shared presence, not individual performance. The cultural narrative of each day is the headline. Cycling is the thread that connects it all — not the point of everything.

    Mission

We create the conditions for real encounters. The kind of travel that changes what you carry home.

    Vision

Not a cycling company. Not a wellness retreat. Not an adventure operator. A perspective-first company that moves on bikes. Taking people out into a radically different world, slowly enough to feel it, so that something of that world travels home inside them.

    Value

We build journeys around real communities. The people you meet aren't part of the scenery. They're the reason you came.

    Letters from the Road

Occasional letters about the kind of travel that changes something in you. Encounters from the road, and what we're building next.
